MotoGp, Luca Marini surprises everyone in Sepang: Uccio’s message

Ducati centaur and brother of Valentino Rossi is the fastest on Sunday in testing

The third day of testing in Sepang closed in the sign of Luca Marini, who signed the fastest time on track with a time of 1’57.889, the only one to drop below 1’58 besides Pecco Bagnaia. The world champion is second, followed by the Aprilia of Maverick Vinales and the other Ducati of Enea Bastianini. Marc Marquez is 10th behind his brother Alex.

Valentino Rossi’s brother touched the track’s best time and confirmed his improvements. Also praising him was VR46 team manager Uccio, the Doctor’s longtime right-hand man: “The bike is going really well and I have to thank Ducati because they always provide us with great material. If ever Ducati or an official manufacturer were to ‘steal’ riders from us, I’m not worried, because it means we will have done a great job.”

There are seven Ducatis placed in the top 10. Lagging behind were the Yamahas; Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli finished in the rear with 19th and 20th places.
