Putting the parallel behind to better cope with the giant.

Marta Bassino is preparing for the two giant slaloms at the World Championships in Courchevel-Méribel after being eliminated in the round of 16 in the individual parallel. And the Italian, as she explained to FISI, remains optimistic even after a disappointing test in itself.

“The parallel did me so much good in anticipation of the giant,” Marta Bassino said in fact, “and so I’ll take the positive things, like the fact that it activates very well timings different from the giant.

Her reflection then shifts to the Courchevel-Méribel course. “Looking ahead to the giant, we know that this is a track is beautiful and it’s very varied-we skied it last year. It’s all to push, with a final wall where you can ski and push all the turns. Definitely I think I will face it as usual, staying focused on myself,” Marta Bassino anticipated.
