Italian Super Cup, super bid from Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia would be ready for a multi-year agreement
Saudi Arabia is increasingly in love with Italian soccer and, in particular, the Italian Super Cup. The last edition, with Inter’s success over AC Milan, exalted the Arab world, and Saudi Arabia is reportedly ready for a super proposal to hold on to the Italian Super Cup.
Several rumors speak of a proposal for a multi-year deal (five or six years). Into the coffers of Italian soccer would end up about 10 to 12 million euros per edition, assuming the format does not change. If the Italian Super Cup were to become a sort of Final Four, then with four Italian clubs in play, the figure could even double. What the top management of Italian soccer will do next remains to be seen. The offer is definitely economically attractive.
