Jannik Sinner makes a promise to himself ahead of the finals
The South Tyrolean admitted he felt the pressure in the semifinal match
Having reached the final at the ATP 500 in Rotterdam after a very tight semifinal match against host Tallon Griekspoor (beaten by a score of 7-5 7-6), Jannik Sinner gave vent to his immediate feelings after the victory through words released on the concrete of the Dutch facility.
“I felt so much pressure, but I am satisfied and I am already thinking about the final. It’s going to be really tough, but I want to make my mark in this tournament as well,” said the Azure.
Sinner, the first Italian to reach the last act of the Rotterdam tournament 32 years after Omar Camporese, will face Russian Daniil Medvedev, his real black beast, who has defeated him in all four previous matches played so far. The date for what could be the second consecutive tournament won by Riccardo Piatti’s former student after last week’s triumph in Montpellier is 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
