John Galeone, advice comes to Max Allegri
“A little trip to England I would recommend.”
Always a mentor of the Bianconeri coach, Giovanni Galeone is cyclically interviewed to talk about his ‘protégé’ Max Allegri, protagonist of a troubled season to say the least at the helm of the Old Lady. Interviewed by the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport,’ the ‘holy man’ of the Pescara of miracles seems to have very clear ideas about where the responsibilities of the Tuscan coach end and where those of the Bianconeri club, currently undergoing a complete transformation, begin.
“Let us not forget that Allegri, in fact, in the first part of the championship did not have the three most important players: Pogba, Chiesa and Di Maria, who did not have great continuity before the World Cup he won with Argentina. Now he has recovered two of them and it shows,” Galeone began. “Allegri is doing more than just coaching and after the -15 sting he compacted the team and scored points. On the field they won 44, the same as second-ranked Inter.”
“Allegri would need Marotta. A balanced and experienced manager, he knows soccer and compares himself with the coach. And along with the Inter CEO would also serve someone like Giuntoli or Massara. Future? I’m not him, but I would also see him well abroad, where he could have gone in the past. I would recommend a little trip to England,” Galeone concluded.
