Lara Della Mea super at Worlds: “Now let’s keep it up.”
An outstanding showing at the Worlds, from which to build on to grow further.
Lara Della Mea enjoys an outstanding performance at the Women’s Slalom of the 2023 Ski World Championships. In fact, the Italian finished eighth, +1.19 from the winner Laurence St. Germain. A result that is moreover the result of the best time in the second run, with 18 positions recovered from the first.
“I am very happy,” said Lara della Mea, as reported by the official FISI website, “and for me it is a great emotion to do such a result at the World Championships. We are on the right path, we have worked well and it shows. We need to continue like this in the future, because I believe we can achieve good results. I’m also happy because I’m scoring points and I can improve the starting bib, another important thing.”
“I am a bit regretful about the result,” said Marta Rossetti instead, who finished 23rd, “because I could have done much better. I attacked as if it was a normal, World Cup race. It didn’t go, only the top 15 count here. It will be for the next one I will focus on the next Are races.”
