Angelo Binaghi doesn’t just coddle Jannik Sinner
Binaghi’s words
The president of the Italian Tennis Federation, Angelo Binaghi, spoke on the sidelines of the presentation of the Sardegna Open: “I would like to try to say something different about the program of events that the region has initiated and seems to me to be universally recognized as an excellent investment for the future.”
“We have received in these days the study on the impacts that the Nitto ATP Finals have generated on the territory- The analysis company that did it is the same one that had done it for Eurovision and is doing it for San Remo. The last edition of the Finals has a spillover of more than 200 million on the territory, Eurovision of about 25 million. However, I would not have expected that this edition of the Finals, without Italians in the field, would have a higher spillover than even the Festival. Compared to Sanremo, the Finals were broadcast in 209 different countries around the world, with a total audience of more than 150 million viewers.”
“We have in perspective the best nursery in the world, our young people testify to the health of the movement. But not only that, I congratulate Fognini and Bolleli who won a 250 in Buenos Aires, ten years after their first success. They will help us chase that Davis Cup that we have been missing since 1976.”
