Sergio Perez attacks Pirelli: “The rear tires have gotten worse.”
Red Bull driver Sergio Perez spoke during the first day of Formula 1 practice in Bahrain, launching an attack on sole tire supplier Pirelli: “No doubt the tires have changed, however, I don’t think it’s such a big change. We have to see how the tires will perform in the race, because that’s where they wear the most. However, it seems that they made the rears worse than they improved the front tires as they had said they would.”
On the difficulties Max Verstappen had in the morning: “I think these are the worst conditions to run in. The track has a particular asphalt and all the drivers had problems with balance.”
