Inter, Romelu Lukaku’s reappointment now closer
Passage to Champions League quarterfinals is worth 20 million
Lukaku at last. Long awaited, in the pits due to several injuries, Big Rom is back to make a difference at the right time. His goal in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Porto is the most important since he returned to the Nerazzurri last summer.
Not that the Belgian has scored many (four) but, undoubtedly, the goal at Porto is hugely important for Inter and the future of the striker himself. Should he win the quarterfinals of the event, Inter would collect about 20 million euros, roughly the cost of Big Rom in a Nerazzurri shirt. With the money from passing the round, the Nerazzurri club would have less trouble confirming the Belgian (owned by Chelsea). Moreover, with Lukaku in form, anything becomes possible in this long season finale.
Nerazzurri fans hope that Big Rom will also make the difference in the return match with Porto, which will not be easy at all, despite the 1-0 win at San Siro.
