Barcelona’s Europa League run came to a halt in the Europa League playoffs. The blaugrana were eliminated by Manchester United. It was a major blow for Barça, which had dreams of going all the way in Europe’s second-largest competition.
Despite the bitter disappointment, Xavi looks ahead: “The positive thing is that we will have another game to play on Sunday. Now we have to look at the two competitions we have left, which are La Liga and Copa del Rey. We have to redeem ourselves. Life goes on,” the Blaugrana coach’s comment reported by the Mundo. Not so “philosophical” were the Barcelona fans who, via social media, heavily criticized Xavi’s Barcelona.
