F1, Max Verstappen already feels ahead of the game

World champion Max Verstappen: “The car is fantastic.”

Max Verstappen is gloating after the second day of Formula 1 testing in Bahrain. The Dutch driver is perfectly comfortable on the new Red Bull RB19, which seems to be off to the best start. “We focused on small details and made small steps forward: once again, the car responded well to everything we did.”

With one week to go before the start of the World Championship, Verstappen is already feeling very confident: “I’m very pleased with the testing period, because every time I got into the car I felt comfortable and was able to push right away. A lot of credit goes to all the employees at the factory, who worked all winter and even last year to prepare the car we have now. Seeing it on the track and seeing how it performs is fantastic.”
