Spal, Oddo starts from scratch: “Saturday I will understand”
The Spal coach spoke on the eve of the match against Genoa
Spal coach Massimo Oddo on the eve of the match against Genoa sent a message to the Estensi, focusing mainly on the psychological aspect: “We have to try to pass the thought that the current standings do not matter but it is as if a new championship is starting, which started last week with one point and with the first ones being 2 points away.”
“In every game there are 3 points up for grabs regardless of whether we are facing Genoa or any other opponent and we will have to do our best to try to bring home the full spoils. It’s a new league and it applies to everyone in my opinion. Tomorrow we are going to play the game trying to enhance our merits and with the goal of getting 3 points, then the field will do the talking.”
Oddo wants to understand how the team will react to this situation: “I will tell you tomorrow, because mental solidity is seen when there is something at stake, not in training. This is a group that in training goes a mile and is impeccable, then what counts is the field and that’s where the mental aspect takes over. Depending on the moments I try to be relaxed when things are done well and stern when they are done badly. The mental aspect is everything, I believe a lot in this team and the head can contribute a lot.”
