Spal knocked out in Genoa, Oddo’s admission: “It bothers us.”
There is no shortage of regrets after a difficult game lost only in the end.
Massimo Oddo chews bitterly at the end of Genoa-Spal, which the Grifone won 3-0, however, scoring only after the 77th minute. And the coach of the Estensi at the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ decided to praise his own.
“In the attempt to go and get the game back we obviously found ourselves in the condition of having to take some risks,” Oddo admitted after the game in Marassi. “Then, as often happens, in these cases you can find yourself conceding goals. It bothers us, because Genoa had had some dominance but I think our game was good.”
“Let’s not forget that Genoa is a Serie A team, with players of a higher category,” Oddo added. Despite this, however, we held up, especially from the defensive point of view. It’s a pity, because until the goal we were doing well. We were defending with great order. Certainly we struggled to restart, but we were holding up behind.”
“In the final we also had some bad luck, because the physical problems to our players did not give us the chance to change something and create problems for Genoa. We were out of changes, unfortunately that’s what happened. We have to try to be as solid as we were until 77′ today in the next matches as well, even if it is not easy,” Oddo concluded.
