Serie B, 15 disqualified. Fines for Pisa, Brescia and Ascoli
Serie B disqualifications
It is raining disqualifications in Serie B after the seventh day of the second half of the season: as many as 15 players have been suspended by the sporting judge, plus a coach’s suspension (Palermo’s Eugenio Corini, stopped for one turn) and financial penalties for three clubs (Pisa, Brescia and Ascoli).
The club most affected by the disqualifications is Perugia: Paz was disqualified for two days, Casasola and Kouan will be suspended for one turn instead. Camara and Estevez of Parma, Hermannsson and Marin of Pisa, Hristov of Venezia, Improta and Leverbe of Benevento, Proietti of Ternana, Boloca and Cotali of Frosinone, Ioannou of Como, and Maita of Bari will also be disqualified for a day.
Below, however, are the reasons for the fines, as reported on the Lega Serie B statement:
Fine of €5,000.00: to Soc. PISA for failing to prevent the entry onto the field of play of one of its own collaborators, not included in the match list, who assumed a provocative attitude toward a player of the opposing team.
Fine of € 2,000.00: to S.C. BRESCIA for having, at the 48th minute of the second half, thrown a plastic bottle on the field of play; penalty mitigated ex art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS.
Fine of € 1,000.00: to Soc. ASCOLI for having its supporters, at the 20th of the second half, throwing a smoke bomb into the playing area; attenuated penalty ex art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS.
