F1, Lewis Hamilton sounds a death knell
Lewis Hamilton’s words
Lewis Hamilton spoke on the eve of the first round of the Formula 1 World Championship. “For the season starting next weekend, the ‘hopping’ problems that had plagued the W13 for most of 2022, caused by trying to adapt to the new technical regulations on ground effect, seem to have been resolved. It’s been an interesting few days, but the thing that has impressed me the most is that this is my 11th year with the team, and everyone has shown up with the same mentality, working hard, heads down. I’m really proud of that.”
“Reliability has been generally good. We only had one problem and we stopped, but overall it was good. We’re not exactly where we want to be, but it’s a good platform to start from. It’s not all perfect yet, and we’re still not able to match the Red Bulls at the moment, and maybe not even the Ferraris. But, as I said, it’s better. The skipping is gone and there are a couple of elements that have been improved so far. Who knows where we will be next week. We just have to stay positive and keep pushing.”
