Milan goes down after three straight wins
Fiorentina beat AC Milan 2-1 in Saturday’s last advance of the 25th Serie A matchday: the Rossoneri break a run of three consecutive victories by falling at the Franchi.
The Viola, already close to the lead in the first half, found the 1-0 lead early in the second half thanks to Nico Gonzalez, who scored on a penalty kick awarded for Tomori’s foul on Ikoné.
The Diavolo reacted but stung little, Pioli also threw Ibrahimovic into the fray and in the 78th minute referee Di Marco awarded a penalty to the Rossoneri for an alleged hand foul by Cabral, denied a minute later by the Var. In the final the Gigliati’s encore with Jovic on a counterattack, to no avail Theo Hernandez’s goal in the 95th minute.
In the standings, Milan remains firm on 47 points in fourth place, while Fiorentina climbs to 12th.
