Spezia-Verona: a draw that satisfies no one

Spezia and Verona don’t get hurt: 0-0 at the Picco

The salvation clash of the 25th day of Serie A between Spezia and Verona ends 0-0: the second white-net draw of the day, after the one between Atalanta and Udinese. Better the guests in the first half, more proactive the hosts in the second half but the post stops Nzola.

In the first half to report the injury of Ngonge who gives way to Kallon in the 9th minute. It is the Scaligeri who play the game but without ever making themselves too dangerous: Lazovic’s shot in the 12′ and Gaich’s header in the 33′ are inaccurate.

In the second half, the hosts re-entered the field with more conviction although it was the guests who had a great chance with Kallon, who in the 69th minute flew in one-on-one with Dragowski but failed to beat him. A few minutes later the biggest chance for the La Spezzini: a cross from Bourabia for the head of Nzola who beats Perilli but is stopped by the post. In the final minutes the same goalkeeper of the Yellowoblù overcame a right-footed shot by Amian.

Spezia and Verona thus gain a point each, keeping their distance in the standings unchanged: the bianconeri rise to 21 in seventeenth place, while the scaligeri move up to 18, in third-last place.
