Pecco Bagnaia extols Ducati, but still not satisfied
Words of great enthusiasm, with the knowledge, however, that much work still needs to be done.
Pecco Bagnaia took the fastest time on Saturday’s MotoGP test in Portimao, and his feelings about the new Ducati definitely look good. The 2022 world champion found no weak points on the Desmosedici GP23, but he does not intend to draw breath just yet. In fact, his goal is to do even better on Sunday.
“I am happy with this day of testing,” explained Bagnaia at the end of the day, “Today went well, I am satisfied with everything. Here the package was already working well, but we focused on the goal of improving it even more. Now the head goes to tomorrow, we will have to close all the tests and verify that everything works 100 percent.”
“We were able to complete a lot of laps on race tires,” summed up Bagnaia. “In the final I was also able to try a time attack, everything went without any problems. Already after Malaysia I was happy, and here we started again at a very high level. Tomorrow, if we succeed, we will also try to work towards the race weekend. But the times are already very good, and I’m really happy.”
