In his debut match in Indian Wells, Musetti surrendered to Mannarino (6-4, 6-4). For the Italian tennis player, this is the fourth misstep in a row. And to say that, last January 30, he was conquering his career best ranking (No. 18).
“Now is the time to be calm, be a group and clear and put a truce. The criticism? Mah, I don’t want to listen to them. I have a working group, my coach and that’s where we all start from. Don’t forget that I am 21 years old. And, I might add, I’m also 21 in the world,” his words in the post-match of the challenge he lost in Indian Wells reported by La Repubblica. In short, Musetti has no intention of listening to the detractors.
