MotoGp, Marc Marquez outspoken about Honda’s competitiveness
Marc Marquez categorical: “We are not where we should be”
The Portimao tests showed a very competitive Ducati ahead of the upcoming start of the championship. Those who came out remarkably unmotivated is certainly Marc Márquez, who finished the second day a good eight tenths from the best time set by Pecco Bagnaia. Once the session was over, the Spanish rider wanted to express his feelings about the competitiveness of the Honda.
“We are not where we want to be. The Hondas are going from 12th to 14th place. But now I don’t gain anything from getting bitter blood. If you start the season with a negative mindset, then it becomes very long. So, we just have to keep our heads down and keep working. If the race was tomorrow, we would probably fight to finish between fifth and 10th,” the Spanish driver began.
“We are still far from the riders in front, however, on this day I was able to be consistent and understand how to go fast and where to make time. However, it is one thing to understand what you need, another to realize where we lose several tenths per lap,” concluded the Cervera rider.
