Indian Wells, Jannik Sinner avenges Lorenzo Musetti
Now on his way is the seasoned Wawrinka.
For the third year in a row, Sinner won the round of 16 in Indian Wells. The Italian got rid of Mannarino (7-6, 6-4), at the end of a not easy match with the South Tyrolean who certainly did not show his best tennis.
The Frenchman, Musetti’s executioner, put Sinner in trouble several times, who was nevertheless good at never losing concentration, especially in the tie-break of the first set. In the next round, Sinner will face 37-year-old Wawrinka: “It will definitely be a tough match. He is playing really really well. He feels great confidence again and has won some good matches. Then he plays very well here, he likes the conditions very much. Let’s hope it will be a good match,” the Italian’s post-match words.
