Espargaró reassures fans

The right arm surgery that Aleix Espargaró underwent on Tuesday was perfectly successful. The operation, carried out at the Dexeus clinic in Barcelona, had become necessary after doctors diagnosed a muscle fibrosis as the reason for the continuous discomfort experienced by the Aprilia rider in Portimao, during MotoGp testing.

“The operation is over,” Espargaró wrote on Instagram, reassuring fans, “I felt a strong pressure on my forearm, but now I’m rid of the discomfort and I’m ready to race!

Espargaró will have just under two weeks to regain his form: in fact, on the weekend between March 24 and 26, the new MotoGP season will begin, with Portimao taking center stage as the site of the first Grand Prix, that of Portugal.
