F1, Fernando Alonso fears Ferrari in Jeddah
F1, Alonso blunt: “Fundamental test for us. Ferrari will be very strong here”
The first race in Bahrain highlighted Red Bull’s current superiority over Ferrari and Mercedes. But the biggest surprise was Aston Martin, which showed great competitiveness with Alonso’s podium finish. However, the Asturian, as reported by the Spanish media, did not want to comment on the potential of the car after only one Gp.
“I am very happy with the result in Bahrain and I am looking forward to racing in Jeddah. This circuit is very different. It transmits a lot of adrenaline. For us it will be a key test to understand if the car will be competitive on this type of track as well, where there should be less tire degradation,” explained the Spanish driver.
“We cannot call ourselves the second force in the championship after only one race. On this track the Power Unit will count a lot. I think Ferrari will be very strong here,” Alonso concluded.
