Marco Odermatt unstoppable, Dominik Paris and Mattia Casse in top 10
Swiss’s success ends Super-G season
It is still Marco Odermatt who climbs to the top step of the podium in the Alpine Ski World Cup: the Swiss, now certain of the final supremacy in the overall standings, won the last Super-G of the season, in Soldeu, legitimizing among other things also his success in the Specialty Cup. For the unstoppable 1997-class athlete it is, moreover, the fourth success in the last five CdM races.
Rounding out the podium were Austria’s Marco Schwarz, who finished with a time 29 hundredths worse than the winner, and Norway’s Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, third, 71 hundredths off Odermatt’s time.
The race of the Azzurri was fair: Dominik Paris finished seventh at 98 hundredths from the Swiss ‘cannibal’, just behind him, spaced by one hundredth, was Mattia Casse. Twelfth position for Guglielmo Bosca, who thus closes in the points zone.
