Fabio Quartararo warns Pecco Bagnaia and Ducati: “Soon it will be battle”
The difficulties are there, but the intention is to overcome them as soon as possible.
Fabio Quartararo believes in his Yamaha, and after losing the 2022 rainbow duel with Pecco Bagnaia he sends a message to the world champion and in general to the Ducati universe. According to the Frenchman, in fact, the Japanese team is close to returning a threat to the Reds of Borgo Panigale.
“There has not yet been a real battle between me and Bagnaia,” Quartararo recalled in an interview for ‘NBC Motorsports.’ “We lack a one-on-one, because sometimes it happened that he fell and I won, other times the opposite. A duel between us, however, will come soon. Also because I think Yamaha has done a very good job this year.”
Quartararo then analyzed the bitter end of his 2022 season. “We finished second,” he explained, “but I can say that I learned a lot. Particularly in the second half of the championship, when Ducati made great strides forward and we were instead behind. I gave 100 percent, but I was too frustrated. I couldn’t have fun and focused too much on the fact that I wanted to win and I couldn’t do it. But sometimes it’s helpful to think that you have to fight for a fourth or fifth place, and that’s okay.”
