Carlos Augusto answers Ciofani: 1-1 draw between Monza and Cremonese

The Lombardy derby between Monza and Cremonese ends 1-1. It all happens in the second half: Ciofani finds the lead for the guests but Carlos Augusto evens the score, signing the final 1-1.

In the first half it was the hosts who played the game but they failed to find the net thanks also to a super Carnesecchi: the blue goalkeeper first saves on a shot by Izzo, then overcomes a header by Carlos Augusto and in the final is decisive on Ciurria.

In the second half Ballardini sent Castagnetti and Ciofani on the field, and in the 62nd minute the Grigiorossi found the lead precisely with Ciofani, who overcame Di Gregorio coming out with a soft lob, on an assist from the same Castagnetti. Only 7 minutes pass and Monza finds the equalizer: on a cross from the right side by Ciurria, Pickel intercepts poorly and Carlos Augusto pounces on the ball, letting off a beautiful left-handed diagonal shot that goes in behind Carnesecchi.

One point each for Brianzoli and Grigiorossi: Monza rises to 34, Cremonese moves to 13.
