Napoli unstoppable, poker at Torino. Fiorentina ok by measure over Lecce
Torino-Napoli 0-4, Fiorentina-Lecce 1-0
Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli’s run toward the Tricolour continues unstoppable: in an away match as hostile on paper as the one at Torino’s field, the Neapolitan team dominated and won 4-0, reaching 71 points in the standings after 27 days of Serie A.
The match, in fact, is already downhill after 9 minutes thanks to Osimhen’s goal, and it is put in the safe at 35 minutes, when Kvaratskhelia does not miss a penalty kick that the same Georgian got by being fouled in the box by Linetty. Osimhen then closed the score in the 51st minute, signing his own personal double, while in the 68th minute there was glory for Ndombele, who scored on an assist from the omnipresent Kvaratskhelia.
At the same time Fiorentina beat Lecce 1-0, confirming the moment of excellent form of Vincenzo Italiano’s men. Deciding the match at the ‘Franchi’ is an unfortunate own goal by Antonino Gallo, at 28′ of the first half. The violets thus definitively move away from the hot zone of the standings, while Lecce, despite going knockout for the fourth time in a row, remains 8 points above the third-last position occupied by Hellas Verona.
