Inter, several alternatives besides Conte pop up in case of Inzaghi’s exoneration
Inter, eyes on De Zerbi, Thiago Motta and Italiano in case of Inzaghi’s exoneration
Much of the future of Inter and Simone Inzaghi hinges on this final season. Swinging results in the league have put the position of the former Lazio coach in the balance, whose reappointment will surely hinge on whether or not he qualifies for the next Champions League.
As reported by “Tuttosport,” the Inter management is reportedly considering several profiles in case of exoneration. In addition to the name of Antonio Conte, three other possible candidates have been gaining momentum in recent days: Brighton’s De Zerbi, Bologna’s Thiago Motta and Fiorentina’s Italiano. These three would certainly be more affordable financially.
Although Inzaghi still has a one-year contract with the club at 5.5 million euros per season, the management would still be willing to consider dismissal if he fails to achieve his goals.
