Jannik Sinner, discoverer speaks: “Other depth than 2022”
He was among the first to discover it, and now that he has become one of the certainties of world tennis can only praise it.
Jannik Sinner snatched victories and applause in Indian Wells, where he stopped only in the semifinals in the face of Carlos Alcaraz. After the U.S. Masters 1000, however, many compliments came his way, to which were added those of Massimo Sartori. Historical coach of Andreas Seppi, Marco Cecchinato and Giulio Zeppieri, he was one of the first tennis teachers to notice him when he was still just a child.
“He is improving so much, especially when he goes up to the net,” Sartori explained to ‘Italy Tennis Players’ talking about Sinner. “You can see a lot, although maybe in Indian Wells it was less noticeable than when playing indoors. He has also grown a lot on serve. Maybe he still makes some errors in volleys, but that can happen when you push so hard.”
“Compared to last year you can also see that he is definitely better physically. If we think about the end of 2022, he’s really of a different depth. And you will see that he will be great Sinner in Miami as well. To get into the world top 10 permanently, he just lacks a little experience, but not too much either. Because we are talking about a really complete player,” Sartori concluded.
