Matteo Berrettini is looking for redemption in Miami: “I had some moments that were a bit complicated, but they are part of the process and the life I chose. I’m okay now.”

“I have full confidence in my team, we are working to be well mentally, then physically, then everything else. I know the level is there, as in all careers there are times when things go less well. But I’m doing everything I can to get back to my level,” he said in an interview with ATP.

“I tried after Australia to stay a few weeks off the circuit, to train. In Acapulco it started well, I reached the quarters however then I felt something in my calf again. The constant up and downs don’t allow you to have continuity. Then I played a few matches in Phoenix and now I feel ready. A good result here would give me confidence for the season on red, one of the most important for me.”
