Mario Balotelli stings Roberto Mancini: “The strikers in Italy are there.”
Mario Balotelli now at Sion sends a message to Roberto Mancini
Mario Balotelli has sent a jibe at Roberto Mancini: the head coach has long sounded the alarm about the shortage of top strikers in Italy, but the Brescia-born forward now at Sion via social media retorted to the Azzurri coach.
“Strikers in Italy are still there and they are fit. Trust me,” SuperMario wrote on Instagram.
These were Mancini’s words in the press conference: “In attack we have problems, but not because there is no talent. But they have to play and they don’t play. We are really very limited in the offensive department. There are competitions at Primavera level that have no Italians. We have three teams in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, but out of three teams the Italians at most are 7-8,” continued the Jesolo coach, who has summoned the oriundo Retegui, in goal just against England.
