The Azzurri, fresh from their defeat to England, earned their first win of 2023, hooking North Macedonia into second place in Group C.
Mancini’s team, although without shining, filed the file already in half an hour, thanks to goals again from Retegui (15′) and Pessina (27′).
In the second half, the Azzurri did not increase their haul, limiting themselves to taking home the three points.
The next appointment will be in September against the Macedonians.
