Dinamo Sassari, the key to the season according to Piero Bucchi
Sassari Dynamo outspoken: “The arrival of Stephens and the recovery of the injured made us shift gears.”
During an interview with the microphones of “Corriere dello Sport,” Dinamo Sassari’s head coach spoke about the events that kicked off the Sardinians’ recovery this season allowing them to reach fourth place in the standings.
“After the first stop we changed the way we were together, finding unity of purpose. Before, between injuries and a different playing set-up that kept us stuck we were struggling to find ourselves. Then, the arrival of a long quick guy like Stephens and the recovery of the injured allowed us to change gears both in terms of system and results,” said the former Olimpia coach.
“A similar situation happened to me in Treviso, when we did not start well and ended by winning the Italian Cup and made it all the way to the Scudetto final. The important thing is that the society transmits serenity and believes in the work being done. Even here in Sassari it is like that and I have to thank the technical and medical staff who had to work overtime this season. Around the team there is a positive and engaging atmosphere and the guys are having fun and are ready to put energy and sacrifice to make the fans proud,” Bucchi concluded.
