Jannik Sinner crashes Andrey Rublev and flies to the quarters in Miami

Jannik Sinner continues his run in Miami

A great Jannik Sinner disposed of world number 7 Andrey Rublev in two sets and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Miami Masters 1000 tournament.

Important show of strength by the South Tyrolean, who prevailed with 6-2, 6-4 scores against a top ten player in just one hour and twelve minutes. In the next round the athlete from San Candido will face the winner of the challenge between Van De Zandschulp and Ruusuvuori.

First set totally dominated by the Blue, secure on serve and solid in response. Sinner hits the first break in the third game, the second in the fifth and quickly closes the first partial in half an hour of play.

The Russian attempts a reaction in the second set, which starts initially balanced. In the seventh game, however, comes the relentless break of Sinner, who is really positive in response. The Blue’s serve, however, is impregnable and the second set closes 6-4.
