Napoli on the hunt for midfielders: two hot leads in Serie A

Naples, Koopmeiners and Samardzic are being considered for midfield

Napoli is already at work ahead of the upcoming market session. One of the departments in which the Neapolitan management would be willing to invest is the midfield, as the future linked to Zielinski, whose contract expires in June 2024, holds sway.

As reported by the “Corriere dello Sport” two are the profiles that Giuntoli would be following with particular attention. The first is Koopmeiners, on whom there would be competition from several top European clubs and a demand of at least 30 million euros from Atalanta, which owns the player’s tag. The second, on the other hand, is Udinese’s Samardzic, who would represent a more affordable transaction in economic terms.

The Pozzo family values the player at around 7.5 million euros and would not be willing to deprive themselves so easily of the player, who has a contract with the Friulian club until 2026.
