The club has not forgiven the behavior of the technician

Roberto D'Aversa no longer è the Lecce coach. After what happened at the end of the match between Lecce and Hellas Verona, the Salento club decided to end the relationship with the coach, who was guilty of unacceptable behavior. The apologies of Roberto D'Aversa himself after what happened on the field were not, therefore, of much use.

"After The events that occurred at the end of the Lecce – Verona match, U.S. Lecce announces that it has relieved from office the coach Roberto D'Aversa. To the coach and his staff goes the thanks for the work done", this is the official statement issued by the company; which concludes, without possibility of reconsideration, the relationship between the coach and the same Lecce.

At this point, there'è the need, on the part of Lecce, to quickly find a new coach to whom to entrust the team, currently embroiled in the fight not to relegate. According to Sky Sport, the hottest name would be Semplici. Born in 1967, he had his last experience on the bench at the helm of Spezia, in the 2022/23 season (taking over on the run), which unfortunately ended with relegation to Serie B.
