Juventus, Federico Chiesa: return remains an unknown
Allegri will make a decision close to Saturday’s match
After the knee discomfort felt during the match between his Juventus and Inter and the forced absence from national team commitments despite being called up by coach Roberto Mancini, Federico Chiesa should be able to see the field again on Saturday, April 1 against Hellas Verona, although a question mark remains over his condition.
The specialist examination Chiesa underwent in Austria in recent days brought good news, but Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri may decide to give the former Fiorentina player some more time to return to 100 percent ahead of a final rush that sees the Bianconeri engaged in the race for Europe in the league, the Europa League quarterfinals and the Coppa Italia semifinals.
The return could therefore slip at least three days: on April 4, in fact, Juve will face Inter again in the first leg semifinal of the domestic cup. Allegri will make a final decision close to the match, after assessing the 1997 class’ condition on the pitch in training.
