F1, Fernando Alonso doesn’t flinch: “There is still a lot to do.”
F1, Fernando Alonso clear: “We hope for a dry qualifying”
Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso commented to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport F1’ on the first two free practice sessions of the Australian GP, also dwelling on his feelings ahead of qualifying.
“It was a good Friday for us and it was good to be back in Australia. In FP1 we focused on some test elements and went through our program without any problems. The afternoon was affected by rain, so we couldn’t test other elements, so we will have even more work to do tomorrow. We need to better understand tire grip and our race pace, as there was not much time to do that today,” said the Spanish rider.
“The forecast for tomorrow looks good for now. We would like a dry qualifying because we have also experienced these conditions in previous races. In any case, the car has given me good feelings, so we will be ready for all circumstances,” Alonso added.
