MotoGp, Jonas Folger takes Pol Espargaró’s place: the German’s excitement
Jonas Folger will return to MotoGp racing after 6 years
It will be Jonas Folger who will replace Pol Espargaró, who was injured in Portimao, riding for GasGas. The German will thus return to race a MotoGp race six years after the last time, but he will not do so in Argentina: in fact, the team has decided to field Folger alongside Augusto Fernandez from the next race, scheduled to take place in Texas in mid-April.
To the official GasGas channels, the German did not hide his excitement: “First of all, I really hope Pol is okay and back on his feet as soon as possible,” he said. “I’m sure he has the right people next to him. As for me, I can’t wait to get back to racing and to go to Texas, where I will meet the guys from my old team again! I hope to get a good result, I know it will be a big challenge for me, who had just started again as a test rider.”
“However, it will be a great opportunity to learn more and more about the bike. All I can say is thank you, I’m looking forward to the Texas weekend.”
