Andrea Dovizioso, Valentino Rossi-style future

Andrea Dovizioso plans a Valentino Rossi-esque future. To Motosprint, the rider from Forlì explained why he tested a BMW M4 on the Hockenheim circuit in recent days: the goal is to participate in the DTM, the German grand touring car championship. “But two tests are not enough to be in the group, the level is high, and as I’ve always said I like to do things the right way. It makes me proud to see how much the Project 1 team cares about having me, but for now we are talking.”

Dovizioso also spoke about the current moment in MotoGp: “Today’s MotoGp is really challenging: if you’re at 100 percent it makes sense to show up, but you don’t necessarily get results. This is also a change from the past: diving into the championship when you don’t have everything under control doesn’t allow you to have the right performance. Now to get directly into Q2 you don’t have to cash in more than 4 tenths from the top, so you essentially need perfection.”
