Charles Leclerc disappointed with qualifying for Australian GP

It is the face of disappointment that Charles Leclerc showed to the cameras of ‘Sky Sport’ during his interview on the sidelines of the Australian GP qualifying session, which saw him finish seventh.

“We were afraid of the rain and we tried to push right away, but we missed too much to be further ahead,” said the Monegasque. “Then I don’t know what happened with Carlos in Q3: I was on my fast lap, he was setting the tires in front of me, we have to understand with the team why it went like that. I’m not saying it would have necessarily gone better, though.”

“Our race pace is better than our qualifying performance but I don’t think that justifies seventh place,” Leclerc added. “We had to do a better job. Opponents? I’m not so much interested in thinking about them anymore, I’m focused on what to do with my Ferrari.”
