Mercedes, Hamilton charged: “We hope we can play it safe with Red Bull”

During an interview with “Sky Sport F1” microphones, an enthusiastic Lewis Hamilton spoke about his unprepossessing third place in qualifying and his ambitions ahead of the race.

“It was a totally unexpected result and I’m very happy and grateful for the third position. My second lap was not as good as the first. I improved in the last sector, but I lost too many tenths at the beginning,” said the Mercedes driver.

“I am not disappointed, in fact I am proud of the team. We are all working hard to be able to get back to the front. To be so close to Red Bull is something incredible. Hopefully we can play with them tomorrow and the weather will be good,” concluded a delighted Lewis Hamilton.
