Vincenzo Italiano preaches caution ahead of return

After Fiorentina’s 2-0 win over Cremonese in the Italian Cup semifinal first leg, Vincenzo Italiano takes the kudos and gives them in turn to his own team, believing, however, that the mission is not yet accomplished.

“We celebrate the way this match went,” said the purple coach in a press conference, “it was an important appointment and we wanted to do well to play the return leg with a good result behind us. We succeeded and we hold on to the advantage, but we must not underestimate the return leg.”

Italiano also thanked the fans who flocked to the ‘Zini’: “We are playing for a place in the finals in an important competition, it is right that there is enthusiasm both inside and outside. It was nice to see this purple tide following us, even nicer not to have disappointed our fans.”
