Excited Uccio: “Here’s what Valentino Rossi wrote to me.”

Uccio pays tribute to Valentino: “We are here because of him.”

The team director of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, Alessio “Uccio” Salucci, spoke to ‘Sky Sport 24’ talking among other things about the team’s ambitions after the first two races and to pay tribute to his great friend Valentino Rossi.

“We are here thanks to Vale. He is the main architect of the project and he deserves that his team competes for the top positions. After Bezzecchi’s victory, the first words he said to me were, ‘Man, we won in MotoGp!’ This is the continuation of a project that started way back: our goal was to bring strong riders to MotoGp and I would say we have succeeded,” said Valentino Rossi’s right-hand man.

“We have to enjoy this moment but, at the same time, focus on the weekend in Austin. It would be nice if Marco and Luca (Marini, ed.) could fight for the top positions every race. The title? Bezzecchi is only in his second year, so he may lack the experience to be able to win it. However, let’s see how he performs in the next races and then we can better understand the situation,” added Uccio talking about the immediate future and the rainbow prospects.
