F1, Mick Schumacher: Toto Wolff’s dig at Gunther Steiner
Toto Wolff blunt: “With Michael present, Steiner wouldn’t dare treat Mick this way.”
During an interview with the microphones of the Swiss newspaper “Blick,” Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff spoke out about his third driver Mick Schumacher. “He is very talented and he would be the one to drive if one of our drivers was unavailable. Kind of like what happened with Russell when Hamilton tested positive for Coronavirus. We are trying to get an old car ready for him as soon as possible so that he can get back to feeling the adrenaline of the track,” said the Austrian.
In addition, after Franz Tost’s statements a few days ago regarding Micheal Schumacher’s role, the team principal of the Brackley-based racing stable not only agreed with his colleague, but also in turn threw a dig at Gunther Steiner: “All I can say is that his parents raised him the best. I think if Michael had accompanied Mick in his two years at Haas, Steiner would not have dared to treat him in that world.”
