Lewis Hamilton-Ferrari: comes a new backstory
According to Brundle, Lewis Hamilton is still tickled by a possible landing in Ferrari: “He wants to be like Schumacher.”
Lewis Hamilton still has Ferrari on his mind, at least according to Martin Brundle. The former Formula 1 driver in an interview with Sky Sports F1 revealed that the seven-time world champion still harbors ambitions to drive a Maranello single-seater, despite his no-longer-green age.
“There must be a part of Lewis that says, ‘I’d love to go to Ferrari, to do like Michael Schumacher to really turn it into a championship-winning team. If I can’t win my eighth or ninth title, why don’t I go and have fun there?'” the words of Brundle.
“I’m sure he has all these thoughts on his mind, and he will talk to his father and his manager about it and ask them for their opinion. These great drivers are not afraid to leave one team to go other, to galvanize the environment and to have a lot of new people around them with the goal of making something work.”
