Marco Cecchinato’s feat: semifinal after two years
Marco Cecchinato is back: the Italian tennis player qualified for the semifinals of the Atp250 tournament in Estoril thanks to a quarterfinal victory over Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who was beaten in two sets at the end of a drawn-out match that lasted more than two hours.
The Azzurro, who won by the scores of 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) returned to an Atp circuit tournament semifinal after two years, since the Parma tournament in 2021. Cecchinato will face the winner of the other quarterfinal between Serbia’s Kecmanovic and Spain’s Zapata Miralles in the semifinals.
