Jose Mourinho puts Antonio Cassano in the crosshairs: ‘He has fun, others work’
A clear stance after recent criticism received.
Jose Mourinho puts Antonio Cassano in the crosshairs. The latter had recently attacked him, considering him disinterested in soccer in favor of entertainment. The Roma coach, however, decided to respond at the end of the match in Turin that earned the Giallorossi overtaking Milan in third place in the Serie A standings.
“Everyone has the freedom to have his preferences and to criticize whoever he wants,” Mourinho said in the post-match press conference in Turin. “When you talk about others, like Antonio, the situation is different, however. Because he has fun, while others work in a serious way.”
“If they criticize Roma or Mourinho, it doesn’t matter. Because they have fun,” continued the Portuguese coach. Who then reviewed Cassano’s past: “He played for Roma, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid. In Madrid they remember him by his jacket, in Rome he won a Super Cup not playing. With Inter he did not even win the Cup of Lombardy. What I won with Inter, Real Madrid, and Roma you also know.”
“Maybe he has a problem with me, but I have none with him. I just want to tell him to be careful. Because he is 40 and I am 60. Sometimes then Marko Livaja comes along, and at that point it becomes hard,” Mourinho concluded.
