The Brazilian defender has a contract with Roma until 2026
Ibanez’s future could be in La Liga, specifically at Atletico Madrid. The Spanish club, as confirmed by multiple media outlets, is reportedly interested in the strong 1998-born Brazilian defender, currently at Roma.
Locked in a contract until 2026, Ibanez has grown a lot since his arrival at Roma in January 2020. Much will depend, of course, on the size of the proposal that Atletico Madrid will make for the 24-year-old Brazilian defender. Roma does not seem willing to give him up. To date, with the Giallorossi shirt, Ibanez has played 137 games, scoring nine goals (he won the Conference League).
