F1 Ferrari, Carlos Sainz: “Red Bull killed us, another path must be taken.”

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has returned to talk about Red Bull’s clear supremacy in the first races of the Formula 1 World Championship: “We expected to be at least at the same level as the start of the 2022 World Championship with the F1-75, but Red Bull has killed its opponents with a car that is clearly superior to all the others,” the words taken from Espn.

“If we look at Ferrari, we’re equal to Mercedes, we’re not that far from Aston Martin in terms of race pace, but there’s a team that has done everything perfect and that makes us look bad. Red Bull is superior everywhere: in qualifying, in the race, straight-line speed, superior in medium and low-speed corners, superior in tire degradation and impact on curbs and bumps.”

According to Sainz, a different way must be sought in Maranello: “It’s a concept problem. Red Bull was right and we were not. We reintroduced the concept of last year’s single-seater, which was very fast on a dry lap. At the end of the year we could already see that on race pace we were behind Red Bull. And this year, with the changes in the regulations, it was clearly worse for our concept. We’re going to have to change something, look for a very different path than we are now.”
